Attends hospital births? All Hospitals I am available to provide labor support at home when needed for moms who are planning a hospital birth, or meet directly at the hospital. At hospital births, I do everything I can to maintain an atmosphere of peace and cooperation while still facilitating the mom's desires for the birth. Attends birth center births? All Birth Centers At least when Atlanta Birth Center opens! :) Attends home births? Some Home Births I birthed one of my sons at home, and I wholeheartedly believe that homebirth is a safe and wonderful option. As a doula, I only attend homebirths when a trained midwife will be delivering the baby. I do not attend any birth unassisted by a birth professional.
Birth doula fee: $175 to $300
Client Testimonials for Erin Shell

Erin was my doula for my first baby who was born in April, 2011. My water broke in the middle of the night and my husband and I promptly headed to the hospital. Erin arrived minutes later and due to her assistance throughout the night I was able to make it through a hard, short, unmedicated labor. My husband was clueless as to what to do to help me through labor, so Erin gave him great suggestions and guidance during the process which allowed me to make it through the pain of back labor. Erin knew exactly what I needed and was a calming presence. In addition to physical support she provided the verbal support I needed and also understood my need to internalize during labor rather than talk much. I don't know how I would have made it through labor without Erin's help and encouragement and highly recommend her!

Erin was fantastic! She was very professional and really connected with my husband and me on a personal level as well. She was very knowledgeable. Erin truly had our best interests at heart and helped us in every way possible. Our birthing experience was not exactly easy (a failed induction leading to a C-section over the course of three days), but she was there every step of the way, encouraging us and helping us through it. I would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone! What a blessing she was to my husband and me!!! I can't imagine how labor would have gone without her; she was such an asset to us.
