Where to start...we feel so lucky and blessed to have found Jennifer. We felt an instant connection with her and she has such a warm and friendly personality. We loved the fact that she was always there to answer any questions and to give her support whenever I needed it. Jen was very knowledgeable in her field and I felt completely safe with her and knew she was on my side when it came to making decisions, even when I needed her help in understanding them. I am thankful she was able to take me on a little last minute and was great with getting to know us and our wants and needs for our upcoming birth. She was even willing to come out to Nampa for home visits. When the day came that I was going into to labor, she was always there for support over the phone and willing to come to be with me whenever I wanted her to, not just when she felt I was far enough along to come be with me and check on me. This was my first child and you never know what to expect. My labor was a very long one, nearly 60 hours. Jen was right there by me and my husband's side the whole time. I know she offered a lot of relief and support for my husband as well. About two days into my labor I made the decision to leave the birth center I was in and go to the hospital because I just could dilate the last 1/2 cm on my own. It was great that Jen, also being a nurse, was knowledgeable with hospital procedures and explained everything to me and helped make my wishes known and respected by the hospital staff. Even at the hospital I felt like I still had a very good experience, and I owe a lot of the to Jen! Since the birth, she has kept in touch and come to visit our baby boy, even bringing gifts! She also offered her services to be on call whenever I needed her or had questions for the first six weeks after the birth. We truly feel we have found a genuine person and friend in Jen, and would recommend her anytime!

After finding out there was a chance that my husband wouldn’t be here for the birth of our second son, a friend gave us Jennifer’s number. From our first meeting Jennifer was so upbeat I think this was part of the reason when my husbands orders changed we didn’t falter on keeping Jennifer as our Doula.
Jennifer and I sat down and went through our birth plan and since the birth of my first son was a night mare to say the least I had some very specific things I did not want I also wanted the most natural birth that I could have in a hospital setting since I was induced with my first. Jennifer is very knowledgeable she would always calm me when I wouldn’t get clear answers from the hospital.
I started labor about 10:30 at night and called Jennifer at almost midnight when I made sure I was really in labor and it wasn’t false labor I didn’t want her driving clear out to Mountain Home for her to have to turn around and go home (even though she told me on countless occasions that she wouldn’t care if that happened). Jennifer was here in what felt like no time at all and I got to labor at home with her help and coaching and that was very comforting and calming. Once at the hospital she was a god send my son had decided that he didn’t want to come in to this world face down he wanted to be sunny side up. Our birth plan changed a little but Jennifer never left my side we embraced the change and baby K was here 45 minutes latter Jennifer even stayed with me after he was born since I sent my husband with baby K to the nursery to be checked out.
We highly recommend Jennifer, we know our birth would not have gone as good as it did with out her. We will be adding another one to our family in the future and my husband said that there is no way we will do it with Jennifer!!

When Jen suggested that I, use her as a Doula I was excited, she gave me information and assured me that my husband would not be excluded from the experience by having her in the room. This left me very encouraged; we went through my birth plan and talked with my doctor and hospital to confirm we were all on the same page before we had the big day. This was a wonderful and thorough process that I am fully thankful for. Jen was an excellent knowledgeable resource. This was my first child so I wanted to have him in the hospital. I also have allergies which prohibit me from having an epidural and drugs, this realization meant I was having our child in as natural a setting as possible. On the night of our son’s birth Jen was so awesome she worked with my husband to help me to be comfortable during the delivery. My water broke at home and she met us at the hospital in a timely manner. It was very impressive that she was willing to stay the whole time. I was in labor for 24 hours and she consistently offered suggestions on coping mechanisms to handle the pain.
My husband looks back on it and can't see how he would have helped me without Jen's presence. Jen is a compassionate, kind, and an astute person that picks up on the changes that need to be taken in a rough spot. For example, things I thought I would like done to help me I quickly realized I didn't want at all. Jen was receptive to the need for adapting based on our comfort. I would without a doubt recommend Jen Wulf as your doula. My doctor, a compassionate and receptive doctor made a very powerful complement about Jen. My husband said, “Every man and woman should have a doula assisting in delivery.” My doctor said, “Be careful you want to say everyone should have one like Jen or Jen herself. She is a very special person.” I can honestly agree you will not make a mistake by having her in your delivery room.
