We found Kristin through doulamatch during our last trimester. We needed a trustworthy doula who would understand our challenges and could provide support during one of the most important moments of our life. With Kristin, we found an excellent care provider who turned into a good friend by the end of her time with us.  She would listen patiently and provide valuable inputs based on her rich experience. With Kristin I was able to create a detailed birth plan that made me feel confident and prepared. Kristin has my highest recommendation as a doula and I am so grateful to have found her.

We were blessed to be one of her first set of parents.  We had no idea what to expect.  Kristin was right there with answers, documents, questions to ask our doctor, and more.  She was well informed and able to give us plenty of stuff to read or watch to help us along our journey.

Our pregnancy was crazy since it was during the peak of Covid.  We had a lot of restrictions for visits and unsure how delivery would be. She was on top of that.

We did most of our visits with Video chats, messages, and emails. She helped us with questions to ask our doctor.  She also used her own experience to shed light on things that helped us along the way.

She did an amazing job of making sure we had our plan in place.  She had it typed up and ready for the hospital.  She also made sure we knew the different techniques to help us during labor.  She came to our house so we could try them and see what we wanted to have at the hospital.  She was very well prepared.

I was scheduled for induction on March 4th.  I went in for my last check up on March 2nd and ended up being admitted.  She had all her gear ready to go and was able to be there right away.

We went through all of the things we talked about.  We had no avail, my little boy was not wanting to come out.  He liked where he was.

On the morning of March 4th, we had a decision to make.  We had a long talk and we decided that c-section was the best option for us.  It was not our plan but knew it might happen.  She was there to help us through it all.  We have a healthy baby boy.

We will definitely be asking for her assistance if we have another one.  Her knowledge, experience, and helpfulness were a blessing.  It made our journey smoother and special.

Kristin Stout was a great doula for the birth of my daughter, Elizabeth, in April of 2021. She has extensive knowledge as well as the ability and know how to find needed answers.  She is very consent based.

She asked me about my preferences for birth tools, found out from the hospital which ones were available that would work for me as a plus sized mom, and brought various items like a birth ball and massager to my house to try out before birth. She worked with me to practice various positions before labor.

She sent me links to birth videos, gave me a birth plan folder and helped me work on my birth plan to edit it for clarity for the nurses.

She helped me advocate for myself during labor. She set a relaxing atmosphere with candles, scents, and other items like lighting, to help it be a peaceful environment. She helped me trouble shoot several issues and repositioned me when I was uncomfortable, as well as turning me to help turn my baby.

She also did great comfort care labor massages for my neck, back, and feet.

She brought a back up doula who assisted greatly and also took great pictures per my request.

Due to covid, my husband's availability to be at the hospital was limited.  I am grateful Kristin remained by my side as I brought my baby into this world.

She followed up in the months after birth and was available when I had postpartum questions.

I highly recommend her.
