My husband and I moved to San Diego about a month before we got pregnant and were recommended to look into hiring a postpartum doula since we didn’t have any friends or family nearby. Luckily, through my birth doula Kelly, we were introduced to Diana! From the moment we met during our consultation, we just clicked and I knew we would get along. Diana is so kind and so good at what she does. She has this gift where she just knows what you need without having to ask most of the time. Some days with her, she would do laundry and help take care of our baby while my husband and I were able to catch up on sleep or have time to shower. Other times (and lots of times), she would check in on us to make sure we were doing okay emotionally. What is so great about Diana is her ability to make it feel so easy to open up and talk when you are the most vulnerable. She also made us healthy delicious meals weekly which was great when we were too exhausted to even think of cooking. Her expertise in various techniques (such as using essential oils) were incredibly helpful with my postpartum healing and milk supply. Diana truly puts her heart into every family, we are forever thankful to Diana and the help she gave us after our daughter was born. I would definitely recommend her to anyone and everyone!

When Diana first walked into the door, our daughter, Skylark, who at the time was 9 months old and rarely warmed to strangers, immediately raised up her arms and reached out to Diana.  On their first day, Skylark had a great time with Diana.  After Diana left, my husband and I talked for a while about that, and determined that Diana has the right combination of empathy and love and an understanding of tone and expression to immediately put children at ease and into a good place.  After that, her relationship with our daughter only got both stronger and more carefree.

I worked with a few postpartum doulas, and one thing that made Diana stand out was how dedicated she was to her role in providing mental and emotional support for me as a mother. I am someone who generally keeps my emotions to myself, and so I think people generally don't press me to talk about myself. Diana was persistent about checking in with me, each visit, but she did it in a way that was unimposing. She is easy to talk to, non-judgmental, and not only listened, but also shared from her own experiences as a mother, which allowed me to feel more comfortable opening up. She helped me to reflect and recognize where I needed support, and then was able to provide that support.  

Diana was reliable and always on time. She was also flexible and made every effort to accomodate our timing needs, while still keeping her commitment to other clients.  She was precise, and knew what questions to ask to help her understand and accomplish the tasks and routines we required. This made us confident that she understood and could meet both our needs and our daughter's.  This relieved a lot of stress and we had no problem at all when we had to throw a new and unusual task at her.

It was a joy and delight to work with Diana. We recently moved to New Zealand, and really hope we can find someone like her here.

Diana is a fantastic postpartum doula. She was empathetic and supportive when I was feeling overwhelmed as a new mother. Her cooking skills are phenomenal and she took into account my dietary needs. My favorite quality about her is that she is very self-sufficient and a go-getter; she required very minimal guidance around my household for cooking and doing laundry amongst other things. Her ability to care for and connect with my newborn was fantastic, she was able to calm my son and take care of him while I took a much-needed shower. I wholeheartedly recommend Diana's services to any new mom in need of a compassionate, skilled, and supportive guide through the postpartum period. She is a true gem that I am eternally grateful for.

Diana made such a huge impact on my birth experience. I birthed my first daughter at home during a nationwide lockdown from a world wide pandemic. Having Dianas support made me so much more comfortable and confident in my ability to birth my baby without drugs and interventions. My labor was very long and Diana helped me stay motivated and active during my birth and get to live out my dream of having a homebirth. Reflecting on my experience I don't believe I would have been able to stay home and drug free without her motivating me to keep things moving and believe in myself and my baby. She supported me so my partner could get some rest to best support me and knew when to step back and give us the space we needed as a family. I couldn't recommend her as a doula more. She has inspired me to want to become one myself! Thank you so much Diana!

Diana was a fantastic doula, she was positive, calming, supportive and non judgemental. She was informative and the information she provided before and during birth was extremely helpful for both myself and my partner. I would definitely recommend and I am so grateful for her being a part of my journey into motherhood.
