Attends hospital births? All Hospitals I have had a wonderful hospital birth myself. A doula can make the greatest impact on your birth experience if planning a hospital birth. I can help you make a smooth transition from birthing at home to the hospital. I can help you set up in the hospital and show you where everything is that you'll need. During labor, I will support and care for all who are present for the birth. I can also help you communicate effectively with the hospital staff and remind you of your birth preferences. I have the most experience at St. Mary's, MoBap, and Barnes Jewish hospitals. Attends birth center births? All Birth Centers There are currently no birth centers in the area, but hopefully that will change soon! Attends home births? Any Home Birth My second birth was a homebirth. I love to assist families who are considering a homebirth. I can offer extra support during prenatal meetings, help setting up your home for the birth, assistance with siblings and help with cleaning up your house after you have given birth. I can also provide extra support during the days following your birth which is extremely important for new moms and moms with many children. I can also help you with references for home birth friendly birth professionals in the area.
If you just need a doula to babysit your child while you birth, please ask me for reduced rates for that service.
Birth doula fee: $500 to $600 Fee details: Ask me about low-cost rates/ bartering if you have special circumstances especially if you are a student, single mom, or family with financial challenges.
