Client Testimonials for Katrina Fuller, CCCE, CLE, CLD, BPC
Natalie Lehman
Katrina was an amazing help during the delivery of my son Austin. She was with my husband and I every step of the way and we are truly grateful for everything she did for us. At first my husband was not sure about having a doula present at the birth because he felt like she might usurp his role as my childbirth coach, but he later realized that is not what a doula does. In her role as a doula Katrina was the ultimate support person for both my husband and I. She set a calming mood with music, lights and fragrance. She suggested laboring positions and massage that my husband could do to ease my pain. During the most difficult stages she was by my side massaging me and giving both me and my husband verbal encouragement to get through it. One of the best things about Katrina is that she is not judgmental at all. She understands that the birth experience should be whatever the pregnant woman and her partner want it to be. Although I was hoping for a natural birth, my doctor started me on pitocin and I eventually got an epidural due to the pitocin, although Katrina did help me labor through the intense contractions for several hours. Katrina was very supportive of all of my decisions and never made me feel bad for getting the epidural. She stayed with us for awhile after the birth. She also was able to comfort me while I was being sewn up and my husband was tending to our son. I will definitely be calling her again for my next child and I now have the confidence that with her help I can achieve a natural childbirth.
