From the moment my husband and I met Marty we knew that she was the perfect doula for us. Marty had a kindness about her that made us feel like we had known her for years. For me personally, my mother passed away when I was a little girl and I was really looking forward to having someone to lean on and to care for me during one of the most important moments in my life. In my final weeks of pregnancy Marty offered to meet with us as often as needed to ask questions and discuss concerns. I was very interested in the alternative approaches she covered with us regarding pain management.
It was very important that we would be able to have a natural childbirth without medication and intervention. She taught me how to best approach a natural labor and delivery. When the day came for our son to arrive, Marty was there for me every step of the way. At 3 A.M. when I awoke with contractions, she was the first person I talked to and she kept me calm as she knew I would have the baby that very day. She continued to check on me frequently through the morning even on the 4th of July.
When I was ready for her to come and care for me through the remainder of my labor she came right away. Marty prayed with us and assisted my husband as they took care of me. She was with us at home and then to the hospital encouraging and supporting me the entire time. I felt much love and reassurance as she calmed and motivated me through labor and delivery. I was calmer than I have ever been in my whole life during labor and I believe Marty helped to make this happen!
Marty is a wonderful doula and friend. I could not have imagined going through everything without her guidance and presence. I recommend Marty to anyone considering natural childbirth or just looking for guidance and support during this very important time of their life. Thank you Marty! You are one in a million and you have been a blessing in our life!

She was amazing!!! We hired her for our first home birth (child #4). I was nervous and because this was a whole new experience and I had never gone through labor without any pain meds. I felt like God was asking me to trust Him on this and so I did. We interviewed several doulas and I felt like I really clicked with Marty. She walked me through the times where I felt very nervous and gave me great words of encouragement. During the birth she did such a great job helping remind me that I could do this and keeping me calm during transition. She was always gentle and caring and a great cheerleader! God really has called her to this. She was always there being supportive, but never in the way. She's just a very calming presence in the midst of everything that is going on. I'm so glad God caused our paths to cross!!! A couple weeks after the birth she came to visit and brought us our birth story. It was just a great joy working with her!!! Not only did we find a great doula, we now have a life long friend!!! If I am blessed with any more children, I will be hiring Marty again.
Thanks so much Marty!!! You are truly a blessing!!!

Marty was amazing! She was so positive and helpful in the midst of my nervousness at the birth of my first baby. My husband and I felt so much more confident with her there with us to keep things relaxed. I know that it was her help that made it possible for me to have the natural birth I was hoping for (no epidural, no C-section!). Even after helping at my daughter Teresa's birth, she met with us to give us a special momento of the story of Teresa's birth and what happened, which we put in her baby book. Marty is very thoughtful, positive, calm, and confident - everything that makes for a perfect doula : )
