Client Testimonials for Nicole Stecker CD(DONA)
Emily Snyder
My husband and I still talk about how lucky we were to have Nicole at the birth of our first child. Nicole has so many qualities that help make her an absolutely ideal doula. She was amazingly calm and patient throughout the entire labor, creating a relaxing environment for me to practice Hypnobirthing and offering comfort and encouragement during my five hours of pushing.
Her knowledge of the birth process and openness to my ideas were key in helping me create my birth plan, and she played a vital role in my ability to stick to it right through the end. Moreover, Nicole was fantastic at communicating my wants and needs with others, and she was the perfect teammate for my husband.
Most important was that throughout the entire process, from our first prenatal meeting until her postnatal visit a week after the birth, I knew she was there one hundred percent for my husband and me so that we could have the birth that we imagined. Nicole will definitely be an important presence at all of our future births, not only as a doula, but as a friend as well.

There are not enough great things I can say about Nicole. We love her. She is so much more than a Doula - she's a great listener, has good advice, she's available whenever you need her, she's a friend and she's excellent at what she does. She made me and my husband feel much more comfortable about the birth of our son and helped me to get the labor and delivery experience that I wanted (although it never goes exactly as you would hope!) She's easy-going and knowledgeable and she's so compassionate. She helped my husband to be more at ease so he could help me through the tough parts and she kept my best interests in mind AT ALL TIMES. She encouraged me to do what I had envisioned, even through the really hard labor. She kept telling me that I am powerful and am perfectly made to birth my baby - and she was right. She made me believe that I CAN birth a baby and although I know now for the next baby and could probably get through it on my own, I'm sure she'll be with us for number two as well!

I strongly reconmend Nicole Stecker as a birth doula. Her warm, easy-going personality immediately puts one at ease, and she is very easy to talk with. She is passionate about helping others become educated on natural birthing processes, including Hpnobirthing, yet doesn't push her views and opinions on you. She makes it clear that she is here to support Mother and partner in whatever type of birthing experoence they choose.
Nicole was present at the birth of our second child, and I used Hypnobirthing She and I talked ahead of time about certain words or phrases I wanted to use during birthing. She was present at the hospital for the birthing and stayed for a few hours afterwards. My husband appreciated having her there to support us through the birth.
Nicole is truly passionate about helping women through pregnany and birth, as is reflected by her recent career change and her involvement in the doula community through her volunteer efforts. I highly recommend Nicole as a birth doula.
