Wow! Where to start?! When I first start going into labor, I wasn't having sever pains or anything, but Jessie came to the hospital and supported me anyway. We walked the halls and did various other exercises to help with the pains I was experiencing. After my water was broken Jessie never left my side. She helped me by getting me in and out of bed, helping me change positions, supported me by constantly saying how well I was doing and coming up with new techniques to ease my back labor. She was so supportive through the whole process. She helped me visualize and cope with the pains I was having. I only ended up getting one dose of the Stadiol after reaching 5+ cm, while having horrible contractions I could no longer cope with on my own. While I was out of it a bit, I could still hear her egging me on and telling me how well I was doing. She helped me relax through the contractions and get the rest I needed by rubbing my feet. Once the medicine had started to wear off and it was getting time to push she was there helping me visualize through those and soothing my pain by any means she knew how. It was simply amazing to have Jessie by my side during labor and delivery. She was so calm and soothing that it helped me take the focus off of the pain and not get an epidural like I was requesting at one point when the pain was getting to be just to much. If I ever have another child, I will definitely have Jessie by my side again to help! I felt so supported and comforted knowing that there was someone always there to help soothe and calm me and my husband during the labor and delivery process. Another wonderful thing about having Jessie there, was after I started to deliver, she started to take pictures of everything that was happening, with my permission of course. Those pictures are priceless and I am so happy to have! I can't thank Jessie enough for all of the long hard work she put in that day to help ease the pressures and pains of labor and delivery!
