I had my baby Aug. 27th this year and Erin did a great job helping me get through a very intense and painful labor. She arrived at the hosipital shortly after we contacted her and was fully prepared. The hospital did not have a room immediately available, so she helped me and my husband as I labored in the waiting area. I had planned on a water birth, so she helped my husband set-up the tub. She did a great job of suggesting different ideas such as showering and the birth ball when I was in great need of pain relief, and her massages really made the pain more tolerable.
I had my husband, mom, and sister there as well and she was very good at being there and supportive of me, while not interfering with the support I was getting from the rest of my family. The nurse as well as my family all commented on how well she interacted with everyone, and what a great help she was.
I won't lie, I was ready for an epidural and got out of the tub hoping the nurse could dope me up, but as Erin predicted, I was in the transition phase and at that point, the baby was ready to come. I would definately recommend her to anyone daring to attempt a natural childbirth!
