Client Testimonials for Tiffany Gallagher, CLC

Tiffany was our post-partum doula after our son was born 10 months ago. She is wonderful. She met with us prior to the birth to discuss our needs, and she was so helpful when I was newly mom to not only my baby boy but also my very high-needs 3-year old. Tiffany advised about lactation concerns and gave me suggestions for further follow-up. She helped with light housework and baby holding while I needed to tend to my older child's needs. She was great company, very compassionate, and great with both the baby and my daughter. I highly recommend Tiffany to any family looking for post-partum services.

Tiffany was a wonderful help to me when I had my second child. I had already "been there, done that", so was not sure how much help I would need when I brought my baby home, but found out that I needed more than I realized! Tiffany helped me by listening to me repeat the same stories over and over, reassured me about breastfeeding and ensured that my daughter's latch was good, and made sure that I was taken care of by holding the baby for me so that I could do simple things for myself that I felt unable to do when I was home alone with my daughter. I found that I really needed emotional support during the early weeks, and Tiffany was kind, consoling, knowledgeable, and patient with me.
I would absolutely recommend Tiffany to anyone looking for a post-partum doula. Her enthusiasm for babies and breastfeeding is contagious, and she knows so much about the early days. Even though I had had a child before, it had been almost nine years and I had forgotten what a normal newborn was like! Tiffany made sure that I was comfortable and confident about raising my daughter and I think that her advice really helped me through a rough time. She was also easy to get a hold of and very responsive to my needs. Overall, she was fantastic!

Tiffany (AKA Tipper) was wonderful to have during our transition from a family of 5 to a family of 6. She was amazing with my 3 older kids (ages 3 years and 18 month old twins). Some of the things that Tipper helped us with were feeding my older kids while I nursed the baby and rested, looking at my nursling's latch when I was having nipple pain, switching loads of laundry and helping bring heavy loads of laundry upstairs so that I could put them away at a later time, and she also helped with some light cleaning/tiddying up and food prep. During all of this- she managed to keep my oldest, and very energetic daughter occupied and happy; a real task in itself! All of this was very helpful, but it was also just really nice to have her here to talk about my birth and process it, discuss the logistics of adding a new baby, and even have the occasional cry with, as I waded through the post partum baby blues. The only thing that I would have done differently- I would have had Tipper around to help after my first two births!
