Daleen Bybee - Over The Rainbow Family Services

My experience with Daleen was amazing. Though I met her through a facebook group for her old business, and I didn't know much about her as a person we quickly became good friends and she was a trustworthy advocate for me and my birthing experience.

Her help with prelabour preparation and my birth plan was very appreciated. I had a fast labour and though she was out of town, she did what she could do make it there on time (which she did!!). My husband did not make the birth and she was there to help, which helped so so so much. I am sure that much of what she did I was unaware of, but ever just the things I witnessed helped me out so much. Her extensive breastfeeding knowledge helped me much in the begining and even postpartum over the months she has been there with advice. 

My midwife who had recently been exposed to a whole class of new graduate doulas, was very impressed with Daleen and mentioned several times that her experience really showed.

I met Daleen prior to the birth of my second child.  We met several times and she was in tune with my ideals and always available when I called upon her.  I was looking for someone to support me through the natural process of child birth.  I wanted to labour as much as I could at home and then have the baby at the hospital.  I liked the control that I had at my own home, along with also the freedom of labouring in a birthing tub.  Daleen was in support of my plan.  I called her at 3:20am and she arrived at my home 20 minutes later.  20 minutes after that my daughter was born.  When we realized that the baby was coming sooner than expected she helped me focus and I drew upon her confidence.  It was an unplanned home birth, and I was very thankful to have her there.   She was an intregal part of one of the most amazing experiences of my life.  I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for the services of a doula in the Lethbridge area.

Daleen assisted my family as we prepared for the birth of our second child. Despite the fact that hospital policy at the time did not allow her to attend the actual birth, she worked creatively with my husband and I to plan how we wanted to welcome our little one. After the birth I especially appreciated her post natal visits and support by phone as we adjusted to breastfeeding and life in general as a family of four.
Overall she was attentive, responsive and caring throughout the whole process. We are very glad to have met Daleen, and were blessed by her part in the birth our little one.
