I have known Carey for ten years as a friend. Carey has always, ever since i met her, had a passion for midwifery and when my second daughter was born she had assisting my new midwife at births and i had a choice between Carey or another woman coming to assist. I was a little nervous having a good friend assist... but when it came time - I knew for SURE Carey was the one i needed to be there. She was amazing. I could feel energy coming through her hand on my back and it was pure comfort. her energy was very gentle and willing and sweet but still confident and strong and helpful. she gave her full support and attention without judgement or fear. Carey was also present at my last birth. I don't know that she was officially assisting my midwife for this birth - but the midwife had no other assistant and when i called her in labor she told me to have Carey come and time my contractions. My midwife did not make it in time. Carey supported me through that very short labor - got me to the pool, helped me feel safe, when my baby's head crowned and i called out - she checked for cord wrap, there was none, so baby and i got on with our assisted "unassisted" birth. My baby turned pink right away and there were no problems to attend to. It was still a good while until my midwife arrived and Carey filled her place gracefully and was completely competent and proffessional and i was thankful to have her there as my companion during birth in whatever capacity her presence could be considered - for me it is beyond words.
I know Carey's dedication to midwifery is pure and real not just because of my own birth experiences with her but because she never stops offering and giving of herself all the support help and knowledge that she can to any woman she knows is in need. This is part of Who Carey Is and comes from her naturally.
To whom it may concern,
I have known Carey Bryson for 14 years and over the years she has provided me with services and advice relating to childbirth and breastfeeding.
She has always been there when I need information or advice. She told me about lactation support classes and we attended some of them together. After the birth of my daughter, she provided donor milk because I returned to work just 5 weeks after she was born and I hadn't enough milk stored. She loaned me her copy of "The womanly art of breastfeeding" and an breast pump.
I would recommend Carey to anyone who wants to know more about breastfeeding, child birth, home schooling, and immunizations. She has knowledge of all these things and more.
Sincerely,
Stephanie Anderson
To whom it may concern,
I have known Carey Bryson for 5 years. She is a very warm and caring person. I feel she is the reason I have succeded in breastfeeding my current child. I had very bad experiances in the past and she offered to help in any way possible. She came to the hospital the night my little one was born and helped me learn how to properly latch on and is always there when a new problem arises that I need help with. Carey is willing to go the extra mile to help a mom in any way she can.
Sincerly

Carey Bryson was of immeasurable value in the delivery of our fourth child. Having experienced post-partum depression with my previous three births (despite taking various measures which did decrease the duration each time) my husband and I were ready to add another preventative measure. Through a local midwife and a homebirth support group, I was connected to Carey. As Carey has invested in the community overall that espouses natural birth, lactation, and placenta encapsulation, one doesn’t have to journey far to hear her name. My first conversation with her was marked with great enthusiasm, expertise, and a compassion for my own story that gave me great hope for how this fourth experience would be different. Carey made herself readily available and there was nothing we would have changed in how the process was carried out once I delivered. She was notably professional, quick, considerate, informative, and flexible. Carey spent time discussing and explaining options, I was surprised by how delightful it was to have someone I had had few interactions with visiting so immediately after birth and in the post partum period. Looking back, this is no surprise as Carey’s giftings are exercised in the care of new mothers and babies! She has continued to be a source of information for breastfeeding and childbearing. Whether in the role of doula, lactation consultant, or placenta preparation, Carey Bryson is an asset in the journey of childbirth.
