Attends hospital births? All Hospitals I'm familiary with Womack Army Medical Center at Ft. Bragg and Moore Regional in Pinehurst. Attends birth center births? All Birth Centers I'd love to, but there are no birth centers in Fayetteville, Sanford, or Pinehurst area. Attends home births? Any Home Birth I have never had the privilege to attend a homebirth; however, if you are interested please talk to Monarch Midwifery in Fayetteville and I'd be happy to assist in any way I can.
Birth doula fee: $400 to $550 Fee details: I require a $200.00 down-payment at the time you decide to hire me. The remainder can be paid weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly. However, the complete fee hast to be paid in full no later than week 36 of your pregnancy; otherwise I reserve the right to refuse birth assistance. Payment can be made by cash, money order, or credit card via PayPal. I give a military discount to families with the pay grade E-5 and below. Sadly deployments do not come as a surprise anymore. All military families know well in advance that deployments are going to happen; therefore, I am no longer participating with OSD to offer free birth attendance.

Not only did Nina travel for the birth of our 3rd child, but when my pregnancy took an unexpected turn, she was there, offering whatever support and information I needed. My husband had returned from out of the country just days before the birth so Nina's presence was imperative. During my labor we essentially melded into one. It was as much a spiritual as a physical experience. Neither I nor my husband could imagine our daughter's birth without her.
Two years later it is still difficult to put into words just how fabulous Nina is. She is the kind of knowledgeable, no nonsense, loving doula a parent can count on. Nina doesn't mince words, if you ask her she will tell you. Some people may not appreciate this kind of candor, however, it is the quality Nina posesses that makes her rise right to the top. I can't imagine hiring a doula who only says what I want to hear. I want a doula who tells me what I want to know, and Nina does that. She's the kind of doula that makes you want to know her not just as your doula, but to know the person too. The experience she brings to birth is invaluable. Her passion for healthy, peaceful birth makes her the great doula she truly is.

Nina's presence throughout my pregnancy and at my birth were priceless!!! After having an extremely traumatic labor and delivery of my first child (without the help of a doula) I was terrified of this delivery. Throughout my entire pregnancy Nina was extremely supportive, constantly going over my birth plan with me, giving me constant reassurance of how things would go. Even at 2am when I was having Braxton Hicks contractions and I needed someone to talk to, Nina was there giving me support! During the actual delivery, Nina did EXACTLY what I needed and wanted her to do; she gave me gentle coaching and reminded me exactly how and when to push. Thanks to Nina's help, my baby was out in 5 pushes. Well they tell me it was 5 pushes, but honestly, to me it only felt like 2 pushes. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect delivery!
I would definitely recommend a doula to other mothers, especially a first time mom or a mom who has had traumatic birth experiences in the past. Having a doula's support is so valuable. Having Nina's support was PRICELESS!
I can't speak highly enough of Nina and her services! She is worth every penny and more! Very near my due date Nina's family suffered a tremendous personal loss; however that did not deter Nina from being BEYOND professional. She coordinated 2 backup doulas for me AND although she had many difficult things to deal with on her plate, she still took the time to chat with me online many nights when I couldn't sleep due to braxton hicks contractions. Thankfully Nina was able to be present for my birth and words can't express how grateful I was to have her there! It was a perfect delivery all thanks to Nina!!! Nina was not just my doula, she also became a great friend!

Nina was phenomenal in every way. We have hired a doula for the births of all three of our children. Nina was by far the best match for us. She was a great source of information in the months prior to our son's birth, wonderful support the days leading up to his birth, and an angel the day he was delivered. She kept me active and well distracted by walking with me all around the neighborhood just outside the hospital. When we were back in the room for monitoring she kept me distracted with massages and aromatherapy. And when it came time for Quincy to make his appearance, she was the one who was holding my hands and helping me to work through the pain. I would hire her again in an instant and would proudly recommend her to all of my friends. She was truly an awesome doula!
