Relevant volunteer or advocacy work: I am a former Chicago Volunteer Doula for the Swedish Covenant Midwives, Co-author of "The Lady Fallopia," a seasonal feminist zine. As a strong advocate of female empowerment, I especially enjoy working with other radical mamas!
Postpartum limits/restrictions: I am especially happy to offer household management after your baby arrives. If you're looking for meal prep and extra hands around the house I am especially fond of this work and happy to work with you!
Attends hospital births? All Hospitals I am knowledgeable of many OB and midwifery practices at most central Chicagoland hospitals. If you're unsure of your care provider(s) I am happy to provide information regarding their most recent statistics and anecdotal information about my experiences. Attends birth center births? All Birth Centers There are no birth centers serving IL families but I am willing to work with families using the birth center opening just over the WI border in Racine! Attends home births? Any Home Birth I love homebirth so much! If you need help finding a qualified provider, I am happy to recommend midwives.
