I would NEVER have been able to have the birth that I had without Loree's help before and during the labor. She answered my million questions at our meetings throughout the pregnancy. I ask a lot of questions and she was always happy to stay until they were all answered. She would give us the information and let my husband and I make our own decisions.

Having Loree helped my husband to be very involved throughout the pregnancy and during the entire labor. He was an integral part of the birth of our daughter and he felt very confident doing it thanks to Loree's guidance. She remained cool and collected and helped to keep the entire room calm. Loree was encouraging and I can't imagine things going so well without her.

After the birth, she stayed until I was able to breastfeed successfully. Then she visited us again in the hospital to check on us. She came for a home visit to follow up and bring a priceless letter detailing the labor that still makes me cry when I read it. She also gave us a photo album. We will treasure these gifts forever. I look forward to sharing them with my daughter when she is older. Loree is a very special person - she gives everything (love, patience, kindness, honesty, truth, wisdom and more) to the families that she supports. Every woman should have Loree as her doula. Most importantly, she empowered me and taught me to trust myself and be confident in my abilities.

I have recommended Loree to everyone I know who is having or even thinking about having a baby. I will absolutely use Loree's services again when we have another child.

My husband swears that hiring Loree to be our Doula was the best money we've ever spent! When I was calmer, I was able to let him know what I needed for him to do and in this way, he felt more involved in the process and better able to help. He was even able to get some sleep when, after 30 hours of labour, Loree sat up with me at night. I don't think Loree slept at all during my entire labour process - 37 hours! Having Loree also allowed me to roll with the punches as the circumstances surrounding my labour evolved. Going into labour, my worst fear was having to have a cesarian section. And as luck would have it, it was unavoidable. But with Loree by my side, I felt calm, in control and confident in myself and my body. This meant I was able to adapt to the changing situations without much stress and with no regret because I knew I had done everything I could do in attempting a natural, vaginal birth. Overall, I would have to say (looking at how my labour was before and after Loree was with me) that my labour would have been a very different, much worse experience had Loree not been involved. Before she arrived, I was in distress and in pain and afterwards I was in pain but very calm. Although I did end up requiring pain medication, I can definitely see why a greater percentage of women who have a Doula are able to experience labour without any drugs needed. I would even go so far as to say that I would be hesitant to try a vaginal delivery again (even if I was able to have one) had Loree not been with me - labour without her was that scary and distressing!! Thankfully though, she was there to ensure that my labour experience was a positive, empowering one for both myself and my husband. I would recommend hiring a Doula in general but Loree specifically if you are in the area she services. Well worth the money!!

My baby Harley was my fourth birth, born Aug.16 2012, I have had bad experiences in the past and had fear of the birthing expeirience. Loree was amazing from begining to end. She helped me make a birth plan that suited my personal needs, and she was there before my birth and when I needed her at delivery time. With her support everything was wonderful. I finally have that memory I use to hear some mothers talk about, births being so wonderful and joyous, because I got to expeirience it myself. I highly recomend everyone wether its your first or next birth to use a doula's services, and if you have the option choose Loree, Harley and I thank you Loree, for everything.

We had the privilege to have Loree as our doula for the birth of our first daughter in 2007----there was no doubt in my mind that if we were to have another baby we would be honoured to have Loree again. And sure enough in 2011 we welcomed our second daughter with the help of Loree. We have been so blessed that Loree was with us though out both pregnancies and births, without her extreme knowledge, honesty, trust and helpfulness I don't know what would have happened. I can not wait to take out my girls birth stories and photos (which Loree did for us) every year on their birthdays. It brings back such amazing memories. There are no words to describe what an amazing women Loree is…and with that being said I would highly recommend Loree to every pregnant women out there :) THANK YOU for everything Loree…you are truly the best!

Throughout my pregnancy Loree was always available to answer any questions I had. During my labor she was awesome! In early labor she seemed to know when my husband and I needed privacy but was always nearby if we needed her. She coached me through contractions which was immensely helpful to me. She knew that my son needed to descend more and knew positions I could try to help. When I could no longer manage my pain on my own she talked myself and my husband through our options in an unbiased way so we could make an informed decision. Though I eventually needed a C-section I am so grateful that Loree was there, with her help I know I did everything I could. I would recommend her to anyone without hesitation.

Loree came to me in my time of need - unfortunately it was after the birth of my daughter. In the hours after her birth I haemorrhaged and developed a large hematoma. I was separated from my baby within hours of her delivery and flown to Calgary for treatment. For the first three - four days of her life she was bottle fed and once we were home we were having problems getting a good latch, an oversupply and fast let down. Breastfeeding is really important to me and I was stressed about making it work, especially after all the health problems I had all ready experienced. I wanted something to go my way. A friend of mine got me in contact with Loree and she came right over to my home. Loree worked with us on our breastfeeding and got us set up with the biological nurturing approach, which made a huge difference and helped us so much. My daughter is almost four months old now and is breastfeeding wonderfully.

Loree did way more then just get us on the right track for breastfeeding she was also the best emotional support that a new mom could ask for. When Loree arrived at my home I was angry, heartbroken, confused, scared – a total mess. She listened to my birth story and she answered all my questions about both my physical and emotional recovery. Loree was extremely knowledgeable and very experienced. She truly made me feel like I was okay and that everything would be okay - even if it took a long time. She was open and shared with me about her own experiences in a manner that I could learn from and use in my own recovery. I really appreciated her direct and honest approach with me – I immediately felt comfortable and at ease with her and I completely trusted her with my heartache and pain. I only wish that I would have hired her to be at my daughter’s birth. I honestly believe the outcome would have been very different. I know that if I ever have another natural birth again I WILL have her by my side.

My husband and I were blessed to have Loree at the births of both of our sons in 2009 and 2011. Loree was an incredible source of information, support and encouragement before, during and after the births. I am a very nervous person when it comes to medical procedures, doctors and pain! Loree's presence alone was calming and took many of my worries away. She educated me and gave me the power to make decisions regarding the type of birth I wanted. I felt properly informed about labour, medications, interventions, pain relief etc. Loree was able to provide the stability I needed to have the natural births I desired. The most wonderful thing for me was the ability to comfortably labour at home for as long as possible. I was able to relax better at home and use my bathtub for relief during contractions. I trusted Loree's knowledge and instincts and was able to focus solely on getting through each contraction. She could calm my fears when I wondered if certain parts of labour were "normal". For my second baby Loree helped me labour in various positions so that he would turn into AP position for an easier delivery. My husband loved having Loree for a doula - maybe even more than I did! She never replaced my husband as my birth support but enhanced our ability to work as a team! Loree also provides incredible support after the birth with breast feeding and caring for your baby. Loree also goes beyond providing just labour support by taking amazing photos of the birth and writing detailed birth stories for us to cherish. I believe 100% that having Loree as my doula allowed my births to be positive and happy experiences for me. There is no fear, frustration or confusion related to my memories of labour and delivery. I feel proud, strong and delighted about how my sons came into the world. I would recommend Loree to anyone expecting a baby and wanting a positive birth experience!

Loree's birth wisdom was a great gift to us prenatally, during the complicated birth of our daughter, and through a postnatal NICU experience. She is kind, respectful, and unbelievably empathetic. She is a rock. Having her attend Paige's birth was a blessing and an honour!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Loree. When I found out that I was pregnant, Loree was one of the first people that I called as I wanted to ensure that I was able to “book” her for my pregnancy/birth. I had one friend that had already had the opportunity to have Loree as her doula, and another friend that was currently working with Loree. Both friends had highly recommended her, and since going through this experience with her, I can say that I too would highly recommend Loree to anyone! Despite the fact that I had an excellent support team, Loree was an absolutely invaluable and integral part of my labor and delivery. She was there for me (and in turn, my support team) every step of the way, and when I thought I could not handle one more minute, she was there to coach and encourage me. She did not at anytime replace any member of my support team, but rather added to it. She added knowledge and calmness. I knew I could look to her for answers and to tell me the truth. You would think that it might be strange or awkward to have a “stranger” be present at this very private and personal occasion in your life, but I can say from experience that having Loree present at my labor and delivery was like having a family member there. Loree has such a presence about her. She is kind, caring, strong, and in a moment of chaos was able to focus my world for me. Loree helped make me believe in myself as a woman and as a mother, and although I could deliver another baby without her (as she previously corrected me haha), I wouldn’t want to. We will definitely be calling her when baby #2 is on the way! It would also be valuable to note that Loree has made a believer (of doulas) out of my entire family. My mother, father, husband, and inlaws, now tell everyone about how wonderful it was to have Loree be part of this experience. My mother tells everyone that every woman having a baby absolutely must have a doula!

Loree was an excellent support to my husband and I for the birth of our first child. She provided me with the emotional support needed to hold true to my wishes to have a natural child birth. I believe if she had not been there, I would have had a very different experience. Loree was able to involve and engage my husband in the labour process. My labour and delivery ended up being very different than what I had wanted. My experience with having a doula present made my acceptance of this much stronger, as I was fully engaged in my decision making process with her support. For me, the emotional support I received through and after my delivery was the most valued service that Loree provided to me. I believe that everyone has different needs during this process and having a receptive and attuned doula present, like Loree, is the key to making the best out of a very allusive journey that is labour and delivery. I fully recommend Loree and her service. She is what you need in your time of need.

My experience with Loree has left me feeling very thankful. She came very highly recommended by many people that are very close to me. We met several times before the birth, which made me feel very comfortable with her. Her knowledge was very apparent which made me feel very confident with our decision to have her as our doula. When the time came she was there and never left my side. My husband was so incredibly thankful to have her as well. He felt as though she supported him as much as myself. He has commented many times that he had been worried that she would replace himself as my support but it was completely the opposite. Loree supported him and taught him how to support me. The best part of having Loree was being able to be at home for the majority of my labor. I know without her we would have went to the hospital too early only wasting my energy going to and from the hospital, as they would have sent me home. I was only at the hospital for less than two hours. Because of this I reserved my energy to focus on the birth, one of the reasons I believe I never needed to rely on pain medications. Instead, I relied on Lorees expertise to guide my husband and I through our experience. Loree was my advocate, my courage, my strength. She gave me the confidence to know I could get through the struggle ahead. I had heard so many wonderful birth stories from friends and wondered how they were possible as my first birth of my son was the furthest thing from a great birth story. Loree gave my husband and myself a great birth story and for that I will be forever grateful. After the birth Loree provided us with a written birth story and photos from the birth. They are beautiful and will forever be treasured by us. Having a doula has so far exceeded any expectation I could have ever had. Lorees quote in the photo album she gave me reads “If you ask me for strength. I will lend not only my hand but also my heart”. She did this plus more.

Loree was an absolutely invaluable resource for my husband and I for birth of our baby girl. She was available to us 24/7 during the pregnancy and was very helpful if we had any questions. She is very knowledgeable and experienced, as we were her 1013th birth. Loree provided a calm and reassuring presence during my labour, and was able to keep me comfortable at home until I was 7cm dilated. I feel that because of her knowledge she was able to reduce the amount of time I was in labour (by putting me in different positions, visualization techniques, etc.), and it definitely helped when we discovered at the last moment that our daughter was breech. Loree helped give me the confidence that I could deliver the baby naturally and avoid a caesarean, and that’s exactly what happened. As a first time mother I smoothly delivered our daughter bum first into the world, and I believe that having Loree there definitely helped make the whole situation calmer and empowered me as a woman to make the right decision. My husband and I were completely thrilled with Loree and will definitely be using her services again for our next child. We would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a calm, knowledgeable, and caring support person for their pregnancy and delivery. Thank you Loree!

My husband and I felt listened to, supported, and respected during our prenatal meetings with Loree. Her extensive experience and genuine care are evident from day one. During the actual birthing process, I was relieved (as was my husband) to have Loree by our sides (literally, in our home, and then in hospital) during my long and difficult labour. Although Loree knew I wanted very much to have a natural birth (and did everything possible to support this plan) – it is because of her expertise and care that I knew I had done all I could for me and my baby during our birthing process (as had Loree), and thus I was confident in knowing my capabilities had been fully applied, that a c-section was in my baby’s best interest, and I was not left wondering “what if?”. I think I would have continued to struggle emotionally to this day regarding having had a c-section if not for Loree’s support during my birthing process, and debriefing afterward. After little to no sleep, Loree visited us in the hospital following the birth of our son to ensure breastfeeding was underway, and to again provide support, reassurance, and additional information and debriefing following my c-section. The extent of Loree’s expertise was evident upon our first meeting with her, however, her innate gift of doula care was fully experienced during our birthing process; I felt relieved at being able to invest my trust in Loree; thus being supported and guided during the labour and birth of my child. The encouragement and debriefing provided surrounding the birth of my son was invaluable, and my husband and I (and someday our baby) will treasure the birth story and photos she provided. I would highly recommend Loree’s doula services to expecting mothers.

When my husband and I found out about pregnancy #2 we knew we would need someone in the room with us who knew what they we’re doing, to help with the atmosphere and guide us through the experience. Loree was able to provide the guidance my husband needed to the amazing support I had in the labor and delivery room. My labor and delivery was an experience that went from a hospital visit to something very beautiful both myself and my husband were able to enjoy. From positioning, to how can hubby get in there to help, to being a emotional necessity, she did it all and Loree’s impact will be felt every time I look at my now 3 week old beautiful son.

Loree was there with my first birth and my second. Both extremly different births. I just had my second child on Augest 29th 2011 (Loree's 1012th bith). with this birth my sons head was looking to the side at my hip instead of being in the proper posiion. Loree knew all the right positions to put me in to turn my sons head. She was beside me from 4am till 11:30am the whole time. Talking me threw every contraction as they got more extreme. She gets in your head. Shes seen it all and been threw it as well. I met her when she helped with the birth of my best friends child....8 years ago.  After seeing her in action for my first time I knew if I ever had kids she would be a part of there births. And she was. Now I am done having kids....I feel extremly blessed to be able to have her there for my every birthing expirence. she is seriously a god send. I will love this women for the rest of my life....shes a real life hero.

We don't think the birth of our daughter could have gone any smoother and we know that Loree was one of the main reasons for that. We met Loree a few months into our pregnancy and found that she was very easy to get to know and talk to. She was full of knowledge and we really appreciated having someone besides our doctor to ask about things. The day our daughter arrived, Loree was available to keep us calm and let us know what was coming next. Our goal was to have a completely natural birth and Loree helped us to achieve that. She stayed at the hospital until we felt comfortable with feeding, etc. It was so nice to have her after the birth to phone to answer our questions. Our daughter is now almost four months old and we still e-mail with the odd question. Loree always takes the time to answer. We trust Loree and are so happy that we had her to help us through pregnancy, birth, and after!

My husband and I had the pleasure of meeting Loree when I was 38 weeks pregnant. Despite the short time we knew her prior to labour, we were both so thrilled that she was able to help us through the birth process. As we are first time parents, the experience was like no other and Loree helped to make it a positive one. Even prior to active labour, Loree made herself available to offer suggestions on coping while we were still at home. Once at the hospital, she was very encouraging and knowledgeable and she helped guide us through the labour process while keeping our ideal birth plan in mind. She was not only there for me though, she also helped my husband by offering suggestions as to how he could help and support me. She also takes pictures and writes a birth story for your child. These are extremely special memories that she documents perfectly. Overall, I can't imagine what our experience would have been without Loree there and I would highly recommend her to any expectant parents.

I don't have the words to express what a wonderful experience it was to have Loree as my Doula. She talked with me and my husband at length about our concerns and hopes for our labour and delivery. She eased my mind on numerous occasions and knowing I had an experienced support person available to me made me relaxed and less anxious than I would have been without her. During the labour and delivery she anticipated needs I didn't even know I had. It was such a whirlwind that to have her there to assist my husband and I was invaluable. Loree made this a positive birth experience and we feel very blessed that she was there to help us. We plan on asking her to be our doula for all of our children and I think that's the highest praise we can give. Candice Ehresman & Carter Gramlich

We knew from the beginning we wanted a doula and from being from out of town Loree took the uncertainity out of being first time parents and new-ish residents to our city.  She answered any and all questions and made us feel comfortable and confident which made our birthing experience a positive one, one better than we could have hoped.  Our labour went rather quickly and having her there allowed me to relax and focus on birthing and gave my husband someone else to talk with and focus on. She was just as big of a support for him as she was for me. The pictures and birth story she did for us are amazing (something we can never put value on). You can tell she loves what she does and doesn't take any of it for granted. Loree was the only person able to help me with some latch & breastfeeding problems early on.  We were struggling and no one could get it to work. A few hours with Loree and she had my son breastfeeding like a champ! It was such a big relief and we will be forever grateful!

I wouldn't have wanted to do any of it without her!

We recommend using a doula and using Loree to anyone who is expecting a child. She is an invaluable resource. :)

The first word that comes to mind when I think of Loree is amazing!  She was my doula when I was pregnant with my son in 2005 / 2006.  She provided constant support to myself and my husband during my pregnancy and right through my labour and delivery.  She was my rock when things got rough and her kind & nurturing nature helped us through the hardest moments.  She loves what she does and that love shows in every way.

I just wanted to say how very happy we were with having Loree Siermachesky as our doula. She has a very calming and patient personality or aura about her which was so appreciated, especially since becoming a first time Mom was rather intimidating for me. I consider Loree to be a very special part of this event in our lives, and have no hesitation recommending her to anyone I know that is expecting a child. I am happy to say that to this day she continues to be there for any questions or concerns, and is someone I have come to consider a life long friend. Loree is also very knowledgable and professional. Parents can rest assured that no question is silly to ask and that everything is kept totally confidential. I wish Loree continued success in all that she does, and am grateful to have met her

When I first found out I was pregnant I was happy, nervous, excited and SCARED. I knew I needed someone that understood what I was going through and someone willing to hold my hand through my pregnancy and labor other than my husband. Loree was just that person, her calm and encouraging words are what got me through my pregnancy. She was available 24/7 if I had a question or just needed to talk. Her one hour visits usually turned into 2-3 hours and she never made us feel rushed or annoyed when we asked her 101 questions. When my labor started she was on the phone with us every hour and when she made it to the house my panic mode totally changed. She helped my mom and hubby with the many different techniques they could do to help with the pain but she Never tried to take their role. I truly believe Loree made my birth experience a positive one and couldn't imagine labor without her help and support. We would recommend Loree to anyone and will most definetley use her again:)

Loree was such a patient and compassionate doula!  She drove to another province to attend the birth!  I'm SO grateful to have had her at such an important and memorable moment in our lives.  She not only knew what to do, and could give our midwife a bit of a break and go home and sleep, she could do everything with confidence and ease.  She was there for the birth and took amazing pictures of our daughter being born, and made the most beautiful birth story afterwards, which consisted of those wonderful pictures.  I highly recommend Loree and will definitely be asking her to come back for future babies!!

As a first time father, I can't say how important it is to have someone like Loree there during labor.  I'm the type of person who always wants to help and make things better - and being in a situation like childbirth makes me feel very useless.  Not only did Loree's expertese help me know what I could do to be helpful, her caring nature made sure that not only were the needs of my wife met, I got the help I needed so I could be there for my wife physically and emotionally.  We couldn't have done it without her.

Loree was absolutely fantastic. She kept us going through a very long labor. She was supportive, and calm, and just her presence was soothing. She took care of Dad {making sure he got rest and food during the 30+ hours of labor}. She took care of my needs perfectly. She was encouraging and had all kinds of helpful knowledge. She took care of taking pictures so Dad and I could focus on enjoying the event. And she helped prepare us in the pre-birth meetings. If I had one wish for all laboring mums it would be to have Loree there as their doula.
