Erinn Streeter Doula Profile

The birth of my second daughter was an incredible, beautiful journey thanks to Erinn. I cannot even begin to describe everything that Erinn brought to the table – physically, emotionally and mentally. During my pregnancy, she went above and beyond to educate. During my labor, she brought unending knowledge and a very positive and calm demeanor, which was just what we needed during numerous episodes of prodromal labor and my very intense, extremely eventful labor, during which she was irreplaceable. After the birth of our daughter, Erinn went above and beyond to assist our family in numerous ways.

I couldn’t have achieved my birth goals without her and I’m honored she was part of this journey.

My husband and I were referred to Erinn by a local childbirth educator, and her positive attitude drew us to her as a doula. Before my daughter’s birth, Erinn gave us extensive help with nutrition, even helping find and prepare recipes. She attended several doctor’s appointments with us, which illustrated to them our commitment to a natural birth and, I believe, allowed me to avoid an induction. During labor, Erinn gave me physical and emotional strength when I needed it and encouraged my husband as well. Her optimistic approach put us at ease, during both the internal work of laboring and the external work of interacting with hospital staff. Erinn gave solid encouragement as baby faced a short time in the NICU, and now that baby’s home, Erinn’s been an exceptional resource for breastfeeding information. We recommend her to everyone we know!

Knowing Erinn has been a huge coup during my third pregnancy. Although I’ve been pregnant before, I’m considered “high risk” and have been nervous and worried. Erinn has eased my fears and has provided so much information for me, and reassurance. She is a wealth of knowledge about pregnancy, labor, delivery and a woman’s body. I would recommend consulting with Erinn for your first or 15th pregnancy! She knows her stuff!

I first met Erinn in 2008 when she attended my childbirth classes as a coach for a friend. Erinn was moved by the experience of birth, and has continued to study, practice and share everything she can about how a woman's body works and changes through pregnancy and birth. Because of this dedication, she has become an incredible resource.

Erinn shows great compassion for mothers, and I believe she will do all that is in her power to strengthen and support her clients. Also, she has respect for the bond between couples, and seeks whenever possible to enable partners to be part of the birth process.

I have the greatest respect for Erinn and will continue to recommend her services to my students.
 

Erinn was a blessing to have before, during, and after the birth of my baby girl. She's extremely knowledgable and emotionally supportive as well. She allowed me to bug her contstantly with questions when my due date passed and the midwives were pressuring me to induce before I felt comfortable.  Now I have a beautiful baby girl, and Erinn is still supportive of me when I bug her with after birth questions. She is wonderful! 

I've known Erinn for about 15 years. She was a former roommate and is the closet thing I have to a sister. I am so happy and blessed to have her in attendance during the birth of my son. Her presence was calming and her suggestions helped speed my labor along.

Once I was in recovery (I had a hospital, vaginal delivery), she helped organize the room, and allowed my husband to give his full attention to me and our son. She also took care of scheduling doctors appointments, and helped my husband file all the birth certificate and other paperwork.
