Client Testimonials for Shelly Taft, PD
Charity Parrott
Shelly Taft is my first choice to back up my doula clients. Her faith and patience in the birthing process makes all the difference. She is dependable and warm. Always striving to become a better, more well trained doula for her clients. If I was pregnant again, I would definitely hire Shelly. Out of all the doula's I know, she makes me feel the most comfortable. Shelly is also a La Leche Leader, which is a significant bonus for support after your baby is born.

Shelly did an absolutely wonderful job as my doula. She knows her stuff and was very informative during the pregnancy. We met several times and she helped me come up with a plan for the birth that best suited my own personal needs. She was able to work me through my concerns about the birth (it was a VBAC) and make me feel much more confident. Toward the end, we kept in close contact and then when we knew I was in labor for sure she was right there, in the middle of the night, in less than an hour. Her calm, comforting ways and words of wisdom are a part of my birth experience that I will remember forever. She was right by my side throughout the entire 15 hours of labor and did just exactly what I had hoped she would-- provided strong emotional support and helped me to advocate for myself. After my son was born, she helped us get breastfeeding off to a perfect start. It was definitely worth the money and I highly recommend Shelly to other expectant moms in the area.
