Attends hospital births? All Hospitals I have worked at Women's & Children's (formerly called Columbia Regional Hospital), Boone Hospital, and Callaway Community Hospital. I am familiar with the hospitals in Mexico & Sedalia. I can discuss with you pros & cons of each if your hospital decision has not yet been finalized. Attends birth center births? All Birth Centers Attends home births? Any Home Birth I can attend your homebirth as your doula or as your midwife, depending on the details of your situation and whether or not there will be another midwife attending you as well.
Birth doula fee: $300 to $650 Postpartum doula hourly rate: $5 to $15 Fee details: $300 is for birth only plus 1 prenatal meeting. $650 is for the birth plus 3-5 prenatal meetings & 1-3 postpartum support meetings. There are other options between 300 & 650 that can be negotiated on a case by case basis. I will consider barter. Various payment plans or sliding scale options may be available for those with limited financial resources.
Postpartum doula services: rate varies depending on travel cost if you are not in my area, depending on what services you require of me, and on your financial resources. As with my birth services the fees are negotiable if you are in need.

Suzzan is an untrained doula/midwife with no certification, and the level of experience that she claims is verifiably false. She is known by the Missouri Midwives Ass'n as an uncertified practitioner with little to no experience. There are potentially numerous grievances filed against this practitioner, but the MMA is powerless to stop her because she does not submit to their governing authority. I have personal knowledge of a pregnancy and delivery that she managed having gone extremely bad due to her inexperience and negligence. Do not place yourself or your baby at risk by hiring this woman!!!!! She talks a very intelligent talk! Do your research! Find a safe practitioner!

I had originally planned on a homebirth with Suzzan as my midwife. However, very unexpectedly I had a placenta abruption at only 25 weeks along and had no choice but to deliver early by c-section. Suzzan met me in the parking lot of the hospital as I was being unloaded from the ambulance and walked right beside me as I was being wheeled to my room encouraging me the entire way. Suzzan was such a calming presence in that very trying time and I'm absolutely certain that it was her calming presence that allowed my son to be born so very prematurely with very few health problems. Although she couldn't be in the room with me during the c-section, just knowing that she was right outside the door was a comfort. After my son was born she visited me in the hospital and after I was discharged (with my son still in the NICU) she came to the Ronald McDonald House where I was staying to visit and bring me books to keep me occupied. I'd definitely recommend Suzzan to any woman wanting a Doula or Midwife.
