Client Testimonials for Amelia Miller
Kylie Cousineau Ramaker
The experience of our birth, with the help from Amelia, was incredible. Amelia is a kind sweet soul that brings together information, strength and tenderness. She meets with you before hand to get to know you and informs you on all your options for/ in your birth. She is open to anything you decide and only wishes that you have a comfortable birth process. I was impressed with all the information she gave us and the "homework" for us to think about. She helped us make educated decisions before and durning our birth. Amelia did a great job of helping us stick to our birth plan, but encourage us when to be flexible to best suit our ultimate agenda of having a healthy baby.
For me, Amelia was great. She suggested diffrent positions when needed. Taught me to breath and relax through each contraction. Cleared the room when I needed time alone. Brought me ice chips over and over. Brought me cool cloths when I was burning up and blankets when freezing. And mostly stood by my side through my pain and tears.
Amelia also did a great job with my husband. A worry of his was that he would be pushed aside at the birth. But with her help, he was involved through every step. The best comfort that I had during contractions was my husband pushing on the small my back and having Amelia in front of me holding my hand.
I had such a wonderful experience, I remember sitting in the labor room about 45 mins after the birth, thinking that I could do that again, no problem. I was in labor from 3am to 5pm and pushed from 5pm to 8pm. So I didn't really have an "easy" birth. But with the positivity and help from Amelia, I was able to pull through each contraction and push for as long as I did. I couldn't have asked for a better doula. She brought my husband and I through the most wonderful experience of our lives.
