Relevant volunteer or advocacy work: I am a recently returned peace corps volunteer and have just moved to the DC area. I served for two years in Senegal, West Africa as a health volunteer where I worked with midwives at a local health post. I was also a volunteer doula at Sutter Davis Hospital in Davis, CA prior to serving with the Peace Corps. I am currently going to school to earn my a second bachelors degree in nursing with the ultimate goal of become a Certified Nurse Midwife.
