Eileen Roberts Doula Profile

Eileen was at the birth of my third child. I will say that I will never again have another child without wanting her there with me. She was absolutely fantastic! She was attentive and thoughtful the whole labor. She was able to sense what I was wanting and when I was wanting to be left alone. That is a very special gift. She knew my wishes for the birth and did all things according to what we had talked about beforehand. She was so encouraging the whole way. She kept letting me know that I was doing a great job and that I could do it. I loved having her at my birth. I would recommend Eileen to any woman who is looking for a great doula! 

Eileen was the BEST!  I delivered my baby boy 4 days ago, and I can honestly say that Eileen was my number one resource and number one reason why I had a natural vaginal childbirth and I am fully intact!  I am very proud of myself!  I planned and prepared to do this, and one of the first steps in my planning was hiring Eileen.  She provided tons and tons of information in form of pamphlets, books, Cds, DVDs and websites.  She was available to answer all my questions.  She attended an early assessment of a potential pre-term labour scare, which thankfully turned out well.  She drove me to the hospital, stayed with me during the 6 hour assessment, and during that time translated medical terminology and answered any questions I had.  During labour again she drove with me to the hospital and stayed until after baby and I were settled.  It was an amazing experience and I would recommend every women acquire a doula as early in pregnancy as possible.  Eileen did so much during my pregnancy and birth that it would be impossible to list them all.  I am very thankful to have found her!  Thank you, Eileen, you are an enlightened women!

I couldn't be happier or more excited about my experience with my doula, Eileen.  What I expected in a doula was a coach during labour, but she was so much more than this.  I would not be exaggerating to say that Eileen has answered thousands of questions throughout my pregnancy and continues to do so after the delivery of our healthy baby girl.  She has provided me with many resources that have helped me to make important decisions, and she supports my choices.

I had such a wonderful pregnancy and delivery, and was able to follow my birth plan, but I am positive that this would not have been possible without Eileen.  Because of all the support, and resources she provided to myself and my husband, we have a wonderful story to tell about the delivery of our daughter.  I love talking about my labour.

Eileens commitment to us as clients went far above our expectations.  She took the time to sit down with us for prenatal visits prior to and after delivery, provided us with as many resources as we needed along the way, and answered our questions immediately 24 hours a day. If she hadn't heard from us in a couple of days, she would contact us to see how we were doing and to see if we had any questions.  This made us feel very comfortable in approaching her anytime with questions and concerns.

I am sure that I would not have had the confidence to follow my birth plan without Eileens support and helping me advocate for what I wanted.

Eileen was our back-up doula. On the day I went into labour, she drove in last minute to be with us because our doula couldn't make it. We had spoken a number of times online, but we'd never met face to face. She did a fantastic job for someone who was just thrown into a situation where she had no idea what would be preferred or even expected. She walked in while I was in active labor and she took direction from us very well and had great suggestions to ease pain or make it more tolerable. I would recommend Eileen to anyone! She knows what she's talking about and is full of pain coping techniques, but knows when to step back and take direction from a birthing mama! She was fantastic. She has a great sense of humour and you just feel comfortable around her. Awesome.
